Movement Matters
I’m a huge proponent of movement. Exercise is important as well but it’s different. Exercise is a focused regimen of structured and planned movements that have purpose. Movement is designed to break up those sedentary moments. You get up and walk around the office or your home in between a project you’re working on. It’s stretching, doing laundry, washing dishes or organizing your closet.
Movement is important to keep the blood flowing and your nervous system steady. It burns energy just by getting out of your chair and working on every day tasks.
I share this with all of my clients because I believe it serves as a great foundation no matter what it is we’re working on or up against. It’s that one constant that can help us get through each and every day.
In combination with structured exercise like running or walking for 30 minutes, it fosters a healthy lifestyle that keeps everything else you do sustainable.
